Nedim Music is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Olympia Capital Partners. He is an Investment Banker with 12 years of professional experience in New York, London and the Netherlands. Before joining OCP, Nedim was a Managing Director at Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC in New York where he set up and led the cross-border capital advisory team. Prior to this, he was part of Deloitte’s London and Amsterdam investment banking teams. Nedim is an expert in M&A and raising capital. He has advised on capital raises and M&A transactions across Europe, Americas, Asia, and Africa in excess of $5 billion, and is in regular dialogue with more than 300 financing sources across the globe.
Nedim graduated from RSM Erasmus University (Rotterdam) with a Bachelor and a Master degree in Business Administration, and earned his Post-Master in accounting from ESAA (Rotterdam). Before graduating, Nedim was the co-owner of a small business, had various part time jobs and completed an internship with EY. Nedim served on the work council of Deloitte, and held various board positions in non-profit organizations, including serving as the Vice-Chairman of the Washington DC based Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Almir Jazvin is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Olympia Capital Partners. He is an operating executive and ex-investment banker with 20 years of professional experience in SEE. Before joining OCP, he led the Southeastern Europe operations of Prevent Group and was responsible for group finances and M&A. He held CFO, CEO and Supervisory Board positions throughout his tenure and directly managed an expansion from 2,500 staff to 7,000 staff in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Almir is the leading regional expert in M&A, finance and operations management, and has executed over 15 M&A deals in the region. Almir has a reputation for delivering turn-arounds and operational improvements in complex situations. He has extensive experience with debt and equity financing, contract manufacturing, value chain management, grants and industrial management.
Almir graduated from La Roche College (Pittsburg) with a Bachelor degree in International Business and earned his master in Banking and Finance from Cass Business School (London). He has been an investor in several real estate and food industry investments in Southeast Europe. Almir is a frequent speaker and contributor in the media and business community in the region.
Jonathan Lewis is a Partner and CIO at OCP. He was previously a Managing Director at the Clermont Group, a multi-billion dollar emerging market private investment fund, based in Singapore and Dubai, where he also served as the Group Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Board. His experience includes originating, executing and managing both private equity and listed equity investments, predominantly in the financial services sector. He has served as an Executive and Non-Executive Director on numerous portfolio company boards in Singapore, India, Vietnam, Philippines, Brazil, Ecuador, UAE, Israel and the US.
Jonathan is one of the leading experts on investing in emerging markets and maintains close relationships with investors from Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Europe. He started his career in London where he worked for Deloitte and PwC’s corporate finance advisory teams, advising on mergers and acquisitions in the financial services sector. He has extensive experience in leading all aspects of M&A deals, including negotiations, structuring, due diligence, completion mechanics and active portfolio management. He is also a Governor of Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in the UK and Chairs the Investment Committee of its endowment fund.
Jonathan holds a BA, MA and MBA from Manchester Business School and is an FCA Chartered Accountant.
Sander Nijman is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Olympia Capital Partners. He has over 10 years of experience as a financial specialist in the areas of financial reporting and controlling. He is currently a senior controller at Heineken, overseeing financial reporting (processes) and compliance of OpCo’s. Before joining Heineken, Sander was a Senior Manager Finance at Philips. Sander started his career at PwC, where he worked with various blue chip multinational clients. At PwC, Sander was part of capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services where he gained experience with complex finance issues such as business combinations, purchase price allocations, leases, carve-outs, tax structurings, and consolidation. Furthermore, he was part of the Technical Office and PwC’s recruitment team of Rotterdam (EUR).
Sander is a part-time lecturer at the post-master Accountancy program of the Nyenrode Business University, lecturing on financial reporting. Sander has a Bachelor and Master Degree in business administration and a post master in accounting, He is a Dutch Chartered Accountant.
Jurriaan has more than 12 years of experience in finance and investments, restructuring and managing complexity, and is currently located in Hamburg, Germany.
Before joining OCP, he was the managing director at Terra Drone Europe, a tech start-up. Starting as the CFO, Jurriaan was appointed by the PE investor as to restructure and adapt the organization to its dynamic and challenging environment, which has since grown to the largest and most innovative drone service provider in the world. Jurriaan executed two mergers and one acquisitions in this role and is still the senior consultant and co-owner of the company.
Prior to that, he was a manager at PwC in Amsterdam, advising large multinationals in the Oil & Gas, FMCG and aviation industry. Jurriaan has been a frequent author and speaker related to finance, such as for the Financieele Dagblad (NL financial times).
Jurriaan is known for his strong finance, strategy and restructuring leadership with an entrepreneurial spirit. He has a passion for disruptive strategies and technologies, as well as transforming organizations to adapt to changing environments.
Alexander Gerstung is an Operating Partner of Olympia Capital Partners. He is a former Authorized Signatory and Risk Analyst for Institutional and Commercial Banking Clients as well as an Asset Manager for Institutional clients with 15 years of professional experience in these commercial banking segments.
He also has over 10 years of executive leadership experience as Managing Director, CEO, COO and CRO for several German “Mittelstand” Companies throughout his tenure and directly managed companies from 120 to 4,000 employees. Alexander is holding both advisory and supervisory board mandates. During this time he has been successfully developing and restructuring business models in Western Europe, SEE, the USA and East Asia.
His multi-industries-approach led him e.g. into Furniture Industry, Eyewear and Optics Industry, Foundry and Metalworking Industry, Automobile Industry or Commercial Banking and Asset Management.
Alexander has a reputation for delivering and leading satisfactory solutions for companies in complex situations or a-typical product lifecycles.
Peter Lizza is a Vice President of Olympia Capital Partners and is based out of New York. He has over 5 years of investment banking experience, as well as 3 years of operating and investing experience at early stage companies. Before joining OCP, Peter served as a Director of Strategy and Operations at an online travel company. He was responsible for refining the company’s go-to-market and growth strategies. He also served as a Vice President at GrowthCap where he both advised technology companies looking to raise capital and explored direct investments as part of a consortium of large family offices. Peter began his career as an investment banker at Deloitte Corporate Finance in Charlotte and New York where he worked on over 10 successful transactions representing more than $1.2bn in aggregate value. At Deloitte Corporate Finance, Peter also assisted in building out the firm’s cross-border capital advisory function and led the firm’s analyst recruiting efforts.
Peter graduated from the University of Virginia, earning a B.S. in Commerce with concentrations in Finance and Management. He is actively involved in several volunteer organizations in the New York City area.
Emina Turbo is the Executive Director Finance of Olympia Capital Partners. She is a finance expert with 10 years experience in the FMCG industry. Before joining OCP, she has worked for the global multination Unilever in the HQ in Netherlands. Here she has acquired wide range of experience in areas including leading cross border teams, business partnering various functions, month end close processes, transfer pricing, overheads, restructuring, business cases, process improvement & business transformation.
In addition, Emina has gained experience at Fortis Bank focusing on supply chain finance. Finally, Emina has worked for several years at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands as a lecturer on Statistics.
Muniz Karajbic is an analyst at Olympia Capital Partners. Before joining OCP Muniz worked as a manager at a real estate & construction company, based in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has had a great influence in the development of the company that under his leadership has successfully carried out a large number of projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Before completing his Master degree, Muniz was the owner of a small business and had various part time jobs.
He also has experience in the IT-industry, where he has done several internships in which he played a prominent role in the implementation of the projects he worked on.
Alen Avdic is an External Advisor for Olympia Capital. He has a unique combination of experience in bulge bracket investment banking, financial institution corporate development, C-level management at leading corporations in SEE and entrepreneurship/venture capital. Alen started his career in investment banking with an Internship at Goldman Sachs, and joined Morgan Stanley thereafter, first in London, then in Johannesburg.
Later he joined the corporate development department of a financial institution in the Netherlands. Subsequently, he jointed one of the leading European boutique investment banks, Kempen & Co, in Amsterdam. Alen gained valuable experience in executing M&A deals in Europe and emerging markets during his 5 years in investment banking.
After moving into industry, Alen became CFO of Symphony, one of SEE’s leading technology firms and managing director for one of Rocket Internet’s ecommerce companies in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Subsequently, he became CEO and founder an ecommerce company that connects buyers and sellers
Amila Pita has over 20 years of experience in IT industry, in which she held multiple management positions. She has broad experience in leading engineering teams, program management office and managing client relationships and sales. Before joining OCP and its portfolio company Maestral, Amila was the Director of Business Development of Authority Partners, one of the global leading IT companies located in Los Angeles and Sarajevo. There she was responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, expanding the presence of the company on the global market, and also driving the company’s business by significantly growing its revenue. Before API, Amila was a Director of the IT department in one of the domestic banks in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ASA Banka), in which she planned, coordinated and controlled the work within the IT division of the bank, managed IT team members and external partners to ensure that the information system is working efficiently and effectively. During the first 15 years of her career, she was working for different international companies located in Canada, Switzerland, and Italy.
Roberto Ramadhin is an expert advisor at Olympia Capital Partners. He has over 10 years of professional experience IT & Digital and has worked across a range of industries including banking, insurance, CPG/FMCG, public sector and high tech. Roberto is currently Chief Information Officer at Bondify, a fintech startup based in the Netherlands, where he leads the development of innovative digital finance products. Prior to this, Roberto held various managerial positions at global firms including Boston Consulting Group and Capgemini where he consulted client cases on IT strategy, digital transformation and architecture. Roberto holds a master’s degree in Media Technology (Computer Science) from the University of Leiden.
